OUR NEW STEPS AND DOOR

What a beautiful day we are having! The sun is shiningCool it isn't too warm and there is a breeze. I have already been out this morning, checking for guinea and chicken feathers for our gourds. I found a few that will look good and hope to find some big ones as well. Talked with a sweet friend this morning that is thinking of moving to Floyd and made my list for today. Lots to do and not much time. This Friday night we will be set up with our knitted goods, gourds and therapy bags at the market in Floyd. It has been a while since we set up at a market so this will be fun. Love to meet new people and get to know them and there are plenty in Floyd on Friday nights.

Bill and Megan finished our steps and railing yesterday.

I am thrilled with the results and look forward to using real steps with a railing this winter!!!!! It all started out with Scott and Deborah visiting a couple of weeks ago. Deborah and I did a lot of organizing and Scott and Bill worked on the steps.Max_at_steps.jpg We have a new door too, so no more falling through the old oneSurprised Check out our Church pew.

It is getting cooler here! The hummingbirds have thinned out since most of them have left for the winter. We still see a few at the feeder. I love watching them from my desk along with looking at the flowers that Jeff and Sandy gave me for Mother's Day.

Our tomatoes are about done for the year and I think I'll make us BLT's today when Bill gets home from work. One of my favorite summer meals since the tomatoes are super fresh!

Have to work on more therapy bags for Friday and work on some gourds. Hope you have a really sweet week. Stay stress free and share a smileLaughing

Blessings,

Lizzy

DID I HEAR THE WORD

The other day we were out with the goats and I had just finished juicing veggies and an apple. Whenever I peel an apple I save a quarter of it for Sassy and the peelings go to the goats. Well Hershey must have heard me speaking about the apples and he stayed at the fence until he got a piece of it for himself.DSC06499.JPG Goats are so goofy...I really love them (sure I must have told you that before.) Did I tell you that PJ, Reuben's pen buddy, loves banana peels? Now that is strange!

Moo Moo, our kitty with an attitude was sitting on the cement and Deborah got a really cute picture of him. He usually looks so nice until he sees either Peek a Boo or Wow Wow outside...then the war is on. Boy can that sweet looking kitty ever get mad.DSC06467.JPG You'll notice he has a bent ear and got into a fight and almost lost his one eye. Will he ever grow out of this...not taking bets on that one:Surprised It would be nice though!

All of a sudden we have tons of work to do for shows and stores that carry our products. Wow, time flies when you are having fun, and yes, the fun meter is still really pegged!! We are looking forward to being at the market in Floyd 2 Fridays a month and next month the shows start. Lots to doUndecided I'll just have to start getting up earlier in the morning.

Hope you enjoy September. Take time to talk with a friend...you can bless each other!

Blessings,
Lizzy
